stonyfield giveaway - summer in a box!

I forgot how hard it is to keep up with le blog in the summer. I have two giveaways that have been waiting in the wings - I'm going to do them both this week!

First up is Stonyfield!

Remember my post about trying to go organic here this summer? I'm still working at it. I've discovered that not all milk tastes alike and we are searching for organic milk that we all like.

I've explored more products from our local organic grocery store than my usual go-to items. Some snack foods, ice cream and breads.

I'm still working on produce. That one is proving to be hard. The convenience factor is huge since I buy produce every few days and the closest grocery store has a limited selection.

My garden is not been too successful. That's a whole post in itself.

I also rented Food, Inc. and hope to watch it with the kids this week. (Or, I'll start watching it with the kids and I'm pretty sure they will wander off and I'll fill them in on what they missed later.)

Stonyfield wants you to relax and enjoy the rest of the summer by trying a new product - delicious frozen yogurt bars. (Seriously, they are amazing.) All thumbs up from the Laundry household.

Also included in Summer in a Box are some other organic, all-natural products you will love. The winner will receive:

2 coupons for FREE Stonyfield Frozen Yogurt Bars.

Badger After-Sun Balm (totally soothed Cheer's neck when I forgot to put sunscreen on him!)

Dr. Hauschka Melissa Day Cream (my face loves this!)

Tom’s of Maine Simply White Toothpaste

Tom’s of Maine Daily Moisture Body Bar

Tom’s of Maine Beautiful Earth Deodorant

1 coupon for FREE Uncle Matt’s Organic Lemonade and Juices

All you have to do is leave a comment and tell me how you are incorporating "organic" into your life.

(giveaway ends Friday 8/29 - U.S. residents only)

Disclaimer: I received a Summer in a Box to enjoy. All opinions expressed are my own.

We are being more organic this summer by eatting from our garden. The kids everynight say, what part of dinner came out of the garden and everything last night except the quinoa was from it.

Have switched to mostly organic/sustainable meat, but am still struggling with produce. I usually opt to shop at the farmer's market for fresher, but non-organic produce than buy the overpriced sub-standard organic produce at my local grocery store.

Our container garden is going really well this summer. We were eating salads everyday from it. The tomatoes were also going great until the local squirrel chewed off half of them at the stem. We've been using organic milk and cage-free organic eggs for years. We finally realized that we had to bring our own milk for our son if we wanted to eat at a restaurant b/c my son would insist on getting milk and then not drink it. It was b/c of that taste difference.

What a great give-away!

I buy organic milk and organic frozen fruit, but can't afford organic cheese. I have at least been trying to buy brands that promise they don't use growth hormones in their cows. My dream is to be able to buy an organic grass-fed side of beef. I'll get there.

Organic isn't something that we've done much of... yet? Finances play a huge role in this decision, and unfortunately, we've yet to get many things organic when they're often pricier. Would love to try these out, though! :)

We have our own Cherry, Nectarine, Peach, Plum, and for fall, Persimmion trees in the back yard...totally organic. Also, Tomatos, Cucumbers, and Radishes. It's been a productive and fruitful summer with the home grown organics! We don't buy organic milk, but it's local milk with no hormones.

I'm going your route, and starting in the dairy case. These bars look great! hipmamae@gmail.com

Oh man! Awesome! Why didn't I get this giveaway, too? Oh well!

We've gone 100% organic with all our dairy, eggs and meat because we get all that delivered via South Mountain Creamery which I CAN NOT RAVE ABOUT ENOUGH. Seriously!

I try to buy natural products, but haven't expanded into organics yet due to cost. :(

We have been enjoying home grown salads and look forward to the corn, carrots and potatoes yet to come. Also we are supporting our local organic farm by buying shares this season and enjoying weekly baskets of fresh from the soil goodies.

Great give away!

I laughed my ass off at my cousin when I completed the kids' lunch at her house by mixing Organic milk into the Kraft Mac n Cheese.

Sorry, not very constructive...

My garden didn't work out too well either :(
We do organic dairy, most meat, and whatever fruit/veggies I can find.

we buy organic milk for the baby and buy organic pears and apples from Trader Joes when they have them. Anyplace else that has organic is too expensive :(

I try to buy organic dairy all the time + organic fruits and veggies that tend to be the most contaminated.

We're trying to teach our kids to be mindful about wasting electricity and water. Good grief is it an impossible task.

Go ahead. I can take it.
