Actually, there were two of them, which were joined at a hinge or something at one time. They are old. Like early 20th century old. Worn and speckled with paint, and just a wee bit rusted.
I hoisted them on my shoulders and marched them home.
One of them lives here now.

And the other? I'm still thinking...
Next curbside treasure to renovate... this thing.
(There actually two of those too!) I already know what I want to do... just need to make a trip to Home Depot.

That's the kind of screen that we have on our windows (the ones that have screens, that is)!!! Our house was built in 1925, if that gives you any idea how old they are! Also, what an awesome idea for the ladder! I would use the other side as a trellis.
so resourceful you are! :)
Love it! My husband has converted me into a huge curbside treasure hunter, too! We've gotten some great stuff.
Have you screwed your new magazine rack to the wall? I know exactly what my boys would do. It does look great though...
Man, I never find any good stuff on the curb. Although my across the street neighbor is an unofficial junk collector. Lucky for me he stores it all in his garage and since he doesn't have a garage door I get to look at it all the time! Feel free to come on by and browse through his garage when he's not home!
You are so smart! Great idea!
Oh, I want one of those ladders.........it looks fantastic!
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the screens.
What an awesome magazine rack! I love it.
I swear no one ever leaves anything cool out on our curbside. You have an eye for repurposing!
Mmmm... I like it.
It was so great to see you last night!
